Giacomo Serpotta was a sculptor who lived in Sicily in the 17th century partcolary famous for particular techniques related to sculpture. Between his works, from 1713 to 1719 he created magnificent sculptures of children in a spiteful, distracted, playful and childish behavior to the limits of blasphemy, completely indifferent to the sacredness of the place of worship where they arise. The third album by Divisione di Encke: "Serpotta" is composed of a single track divided into three different parts inspired by the magneficence of those sculptures and the irreverence that enhances the innocence of childhood in the presence of a completely ignored sacredness.
Giacomo Serpotta fu uno scultore che visse in Sicilia nel 17° secolo e si distinse per particolari tecniche relative alla scultura. Fra le sue opere, dal 1713 al 1719 creò delle magnifiche sculture di putti in un comportamento dispettoso, distratto, scherzoso e puerile ai limiti della blasfemia del tutto indifferenti della sacralità del luogo di culto ove essi sorgono. Il terzo album di Divisione di Encke dal titolo "Serpotta" è composto da un unico brano diviso in tre parti differenti ed è ispirato alla magnificenza di tale opera e alla irriverenza che esalta l'innocenza della infantilità al cospetto di una sacralità del tutto ignorata.
